FAQs

  • Ideally, we like to have at least 24 hours to complete an in-person client assessment so that we can provide the best match of caregiver to client. But in emergency situations, we can assign an Overture Home Care caregiver to provide service within a matter of hours, depending on the client’s needs, the required skill set of the caregiver, location of care needed, and staff availability.

We often admit clients in emergency situations, such as:

“The hospital is discharging my mother tomorrow after surgery, much more quickly than we were prepared for. She will be discharged to her home alone, but she can’t take care of herself and neither can my dad.”

“We thought home health would be here enough, but he needs more help.” (Medicare and insurance dictate how long the home health visits are, but with Overture Home Care, the client and the family dictate how long our caregiver will stay.)

“We visited over the holidays, and my dad is in urgent need of help. We found spoiled food, he has lost so much weight, and medication bottles are all over the counter.”

  • An Overture Home Care case manager or healthcare professional will come to your home to meet with the potential client and/or family. We will talk through a normal day for the client and develop a plan for hours of care and tasks for the shift(s). This process helps us match the caregiver best suited to the client’s needs. We also use this opportunity to answer any questions you may have.

You may contact us 24/7 to schedule a complimentary assessment: (817) 887-9401 OR (214) 887-9401.

  • When staying at home is most important but has become unsafe and burdensome to loved ones, in-home care may be the solution. The presence of an in-home caregiver allows for a safer environment, while relieving family caregivers of the necessary but time-consuming and sometimes intimate tasks that allow their loved ones to stay at home.

Our complimentary assessment can help you determine if in-home care is right for your family.

  • In-home care can range from minimal assistance to full assistance, depending on each client’s needs.

Overture Home Care caregivers provide levels of care from basic client companionship through care required for clients who are not able to get out of bed. Tasks our caregivers typically handle include light housekeeping, preparing meals, bathing, transferring in and out of chairs, and much more.

We do not provide nurses or physical therapists, which are considered “skilled” healthcare.

Our complimentary assessment can help you determine the appropriate level of care for your loved one based on his or her individual needs.

  • Overture Home Care is paid at an hourly rate with a consecutive four-hour minimum. We have many different programs, and as each client’s needs are unique, various pricing options/discounts may apply.

Please call us 24/7 to discuss scheduling and rates for your specific needs.

  • In-home care is provided by trained caregivers who have experience in caring for individuals in a private home, a nursing home, or another care agency. Care is provided for a minimum of four hours and up to 24 hours/day. In-home care provides assistance with everyday activities, such as medication reminders, meal preparation, and other tasks which the client may need additional help with as they age. Overture Home Care provides in-home care.

Home health care provides short increments of skilled care, delivered by licensed healthcare professionals, with a goal of improving a medical condition or improving mobility. Home health care is considered “skilled nursing” care and requires a physician's order. Visits, which are dictated by Medicare and other insurance plans, are typically no more than an hour long and may occur a few days per week. Home health provides care such as showers, med management, PT and OT, and wound care.

  • We match our staff with clients based on the client’s needs and the caregiver’s skill set, personality traits, and proximity to where the client lives. By conducting a complete assessment of the potential client’s needs, we are able to provide the best match to ensure a good fit for client and caregiver, satisfaction, and positive outcomes.

  • YES! All of our staff undergo Dementia Live® simulation experience training at orientation, and several of our office members are Certified Dementia Practitioners. Forty percent of our clients have been diagnosed with some form of dementia, so we are passionate about learning as much as we can about the disease to provide the best care possible.
