Join Overture and Dementia CARES for Caregiver Education and Support

As we recognize National Family Caregivers Month this November, we must also recognize National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month — and the connection between the two through the family members devastated by the demands of caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

At Overture Home Care, we are honored to provide support for family caregivers and specialized, compassionate care for individuals suffering from cognitive and neurodegenerative conditions. We are a Dementia Friendly Fort Worth business, six members of our team are Dementia Live® certified instructors, and our CEO Denise Helms and Senior Vice President Paige Wolk are both Certified Dementia Practitioners (CDP) through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP).

Our commitment to support, understand and care for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients and their families extends into the wider community as well. Paige Wolk serves on the board of Dementia Friendly Fort Worth and Paige and Denise together conduct quarterly training programs in collaboration with Dementia CARES (Caregiver Access to Resources, Education, and Support) and the University of North Texas Health Science Center. These training programs are open to the public and provide caregivers with six weeks of dementia education and support. The programs meet on Zoom for one hour a week, and participants can choose between Wednesday morning or afternoon sessions.

The next Dementia CARES program will begin in January 2023. For information, please contact Jane Oderberg, LMSW at Jane.Oderberg@unthsc.edu or call 817-735-0660.

Thank you!
