August kept the Overture Home Care team on the go! From educational presentations and professional networking events to birthday celebrations, themed happy hours, and community gatherings, our team had so many opportunities to connect with the wonderful people and organizations throughout our communities. We’re grateful for every invitation that allows us to show up, lend a hand, share resources, and enjoy time together. Here’s a look at where we’ve been Out and About with Overture Home Care this month!
Securing Our Seniors Safety Presentation
Theresa, Jamie, and Paige attended a presentation for police captains from throughout Texas featuring Shannon Gleason Dion of Securing Our Seniors Safety in Fort Worth. It was a valuable opportunity to learn more about senior safety and the important work being done to help protect older adults in our communities.
National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day at The Stayton
Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! What better way to celebrate than with a chocolate chip cookie tasting? We partnered with Reliant at Home at The Stayton, where residents and guests sampled a variety of cookies and cast their votes to crown their favorite. A special thank you to Alex and her daughter, Blakely, for helping make the afternoon such a sweet success. We loved sharing plenty of smiles, conversation, and, of course, cookies!
Networking Lunch at Firebirds
Our team enjoyed a networking lunch at Firebirds in Grapevine. We love opportunities like these to step away from the office, meet fellow professionals, and continue building meaningful relationships throughout the community.
August Birthdays at Ariel Pointe
We celebrated all of the August birthdays at Ariel Pointe with a special birthday lunch! Our Dallas office was excited to celebrate alongside the residents and present Overture Home Care birthday boxes to those celebrating their special day.
Trending Women Mid Cities
Laci attended Trending Women Mid Cities this month, a wonderful gathering that brings women from across the community together to connect, learn, and support one another. We always appreciate opportunities like this to build relationships with other local professionals and celebrate the incredible women making a difference in our community.
UTI Prevention Game at Arabella Red Oak
UTI Prevention Bingo was a hit at Arabella Red Oak! Residents were engaged throughout the conversation and made sure we knew just how much they enjoyed the fun and educational activity. We love finding creative ways to share important health information while keeping everyone involved.
Continuity of Care Meeting
Alex, Jeromy, and Vanessa attended this month’s Continuity of Care meeting. Jeromy is the president of Continuity of Care Fort Worth! These gatherings provide a great opportunity for local professionals to come together, share information, and continue working toward better coordination and support for the people we serve.
Veterans Breakfast at Clear Fork
Ashley hosted the Veterans Breakfast at Clear Fork Assisted Living & Memory Care alongside Journey Hospice. Held on the second Thursday of every month from 8–9 a.m., this breakfast is a wonderful opportunity to gather, honor our veterans, and enjoy time together over breakfast.
Visiting the Parker County Sheriff’s Office
Rob, Kenna, and Ashley stopped by to visit Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier and his team. We brought along cookies from Back Home Bakery to share as a small way to show our appreciation for everything they do for the community.
National Senior Citizens Day at Colleyville Senior Center
We celebrated National Senior Citizens Day at the Colleyville Senior Center! Laci spent the day connecting with attendees, handing out cookies, and even raffling off a coffee machine. It was a fun way to celebrate the older adults who make our communities so special.
Navigating Care Lunch & Learn at Aledo Senior Center
We partnered with Journey Hospice and Classic Home Care for a Navigating Care Lunch & Learn at Aledo Senior Center. The panel discussion focused on helping older adults learn more about the resources available to them and their families. We’re always grateful for opportunities to share information that can help make navigating care a little easier.
Health Fair at The Preserve Spring Creek
We enjoyed connecting with residents and guests at the health fair at The Preserve Spring Creek. We handed out exercise bands and encouraged attendees to keep moving while enjoying the opportunity to visit with members of the community.
Coffee Painting at Wilshire Senior Living
We got creative at Wilshire Senior Living with a fun coffee painting activity! Residents enjoyed using coffee in a whole new way as they created their own artwork. It was a relaxing, creative afternoon filled with plenty of conversation and fun.
Trending Women Arlington
Vanessa attended Trending Women Arlington this month. Events like this are a great way to connect with other women in the community, learn from one another, and build new relationships.
Dementia Friendly Luncheon
We also sponsored a Dementia Friendly luncheon, connecting with other professionals who share a passion for creating more supportive and informed communities for individuals living with dementia and their families.
Parker County Chamber of Commerce
Overture Home Care was proud to sponsor a Parker County Chamber of Commerce event, where our owner, Rob, shared a few words and Overture’s story with the room. We’re thankful to the Parker County Chamber for bringing local businesses together and creating opportunities to connect, learn, and grow. It was a great morning of networking with fellow community leaders and businesses.
Malibu Barbie Happy Hour at Discovery Village Alliance
It was a Barbie-inspired afternoon at Discovery Village Alliance! We helped celebrate with a Malibu Barbie pink drink and sweet strawberry treats. The festive setup made for a fun happy hour filled with plenty of pink, smiles, and good conversation.
Last Summer Sizzle at ClearSky Weatherford
We joined a few of our community partners to help provide Tailgaters BBQ for the Last Summer Sizzle at ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Weatherford. It was the perfect way to enjoy one last summer celebration with great food and even better company.
Hawaiian Happy Hour at Watermere Highlands
Vanessa joined the fun at Watermere Highlands for a Hawaiian-themed happy hour! She served up fruity drinks and cookies while residents enjoyed a festive afternoon filled with island-inspired fun.
Belgium Party at Heartis
We traveled to Belgium without ever leaving town! Heartis hosted a Belgium-themed celebration as part of their “Around the World Tour.” We provided charcuterie cups for guests to enjoy while everyone listened to some great accordion music and experienced a taste of Belgium.
Women’s Business Alliance Luncheon
Overture Home Care was proud to sponsor the Women’s Business Alliance Luncheon with the Parker County Chamber. Guests enjoyed a fashion flash by Alyce Bixby with House of Color Weatherford, followed by a wellness talk from Mark Tackett, a licensed pharmacist and local business owner. It was a wonderful afternoon of learning, connection, and community.

We were excited to host Parker County LinkD at our Weatherford office! It was a great opportunity to welcome local professionals into our space, make new connections, and continue strengthening the relationships that make our community so special.
Luau Happy Hour at Watermere at the Preserve
Laci and Vanessa joined residents at Watermere at the Preserve for a fun-filled Luau Happy Hour! From the tropical atmosphere to the fruity drinks and great company, it was a wonderful afternoon of summer fun.
Birthday Happy Hour at Waterview The Point
We helped celebrate the August birthdays at Waterview The Point Independent Living in Granbury with a festive birthday happy hour. Residents enjoyed wine and a cocktail, and we provided birthday boxes to help make their celebrations extra special.
Dirty Soda Bar at West Fork
We wrapped up the month with a fun Dirty Soda Bar for residents and staff at West Fork Assisted Living & Memory Care! We teamed up with Classic Home Care and Journey Hospice to create a sweet afternoon where everyone could customize their own drinks and enjoy some time together.
We’re grateful for the residents, families, community partners, healthcare professionals, and organizations who continue to welcome Overture Home Care into their events and gatherings. Being involved in our local communities gives us the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, learn from the people we serve, and stay connected to the professionals and organizations supporting older adults and their families.
