Out and About with Overture Home Care: December 2025
December was filled with holiday cheer, meaningful connections, and wonderful moments across our communities. From festive gatherings to educational meetings and celebrations with residents, partners, and professionals, our team stayed busy spreading joy and support all month long!
We kicked off the month with a holiday happy hour at West Fork Assisted Living and Memory Care in Weatherford. Ashley served festive drinks and helped get everyone into the December holiday spirit!
We hosted a Nurse Practitioner dinner at Joe T. Garcia’s, where Dr. Kate Taylor, Overture Home Care’s clinical consultant, presented to her peers on the role of non-medical caregivers in age-friendly care. Paige, Alex, Denise, Kate, Meredith, and Cherae represented Overture, making it a special evening celebrating caregivers and nurses.
We participated in the Miracle on 5th Street Dementia Friendly Fort Worth event, where Overture hosted a holiday card-making station. The table stayed busy all day as guests created handmade cards for friends and family!
Our team enjoyed an office wreath-making party filled with creativity and laughter. It was a wonderful way to spend time together and celebrate the season.
We attended a Grinch-Free Professional Networking Lunch at Legacy Oaks of Azle. Some attendees even dressed in costumes, making it a fun and lighthearted event.
We sponsored a holiday sangria during the Christmas Home Tours at Watermere Preserve. It was a joy to see how beautifully residents decorated their homes for the holidays.
We celebrated an exciting milestone with our Weatherford Open House and Parker County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. We are thrilled to officially be in Parker County and enjoyed celebrating with a coffee truck and cookies for attendees.
We attended this month’s Continuity of Care meeting, where everyone showed up in festive holiday sweaters. It was a cheerful way to connect with fellow professionals.
West Fork Memory Care in Weatherford partnered with Overture Home Care and Journey Hospice for a heartwarming holiday event. Guests enjoyed hot chocolate, listened to The Night Before Christmas, and sang Christmas carols together.
We celebrated the 90s Club at Stevenson Oaks, honoring residents in their 90s with lunch and cake. It was a meaningful celebration of longevity and life.
We attended the Stayton employee Christmas party and sponsored the ornament-making station. It was wonderful to see staff enjoying creative time together.
We helped celebrate December birthdays at Legacy Oaks of Azle by providing birthday boxes. Overture also provided prime rib along with Falck Southwest, making it an extra special celebration.
We sponsored the Parker County Merry Mixer Happy Hour at Cork and Pig in Willow Park alongside seven other partners. Case managers, social workers, and medical directors gathered for great conversation and connection.
We handed out cookie tins at The Stayton Resident Christmas party. A sweet way to spread holiday cheer.
We co-sponsored the Parker County Senior Holiday Dinner at The Preserve at Willow Park. It was a joyful evening honoring seniors during the holiday season.
We joined the Jingle Bell Walk at Trinity Terrace, where Alex hosted the sweets station. Her daughter Blake was a big help and made the event even more special.
We hosted the Trinity Terrace Blood Pressure Clinic, where our nurses checked blood pressures while guests enjoyed pie. A perfect blend of wellness and treats.
We hosted hot cocoa and cookies at Heartis, creating a cozy and festive gathering for residents.
We participated in the Tarrant Area Gerontological Society annual food drive benefiting First Street Mission in Fort Worth. It was eye-opening to learn how donations are needed year-round, not just during the holidays. If you are interested, your can learn more about donations here!
We held an educational meeting for the Overture Home Care nursing team. James L. West, who provided lunch and shared valuable information with our nursing team.
Paige spoke at the Baylor Grapevine Hospital Medicine meeting, where hospitalist physicians opened the floor to share needs and ask for insight. We appreciated the opportunity to collaborate, educate and listen.
We toured and met with Collin County Technical College to coordinate Dementia Live experiences for nursing students. We are excited about future educational opportunities.
We served peppermint martinis at Tradition Clearfork, adding a festive touch to their holiday celebration.
We attended the Growing Connections Networking event at Legacy Oaks of Azle. Always a great space to build relationships.
We joined the Trending Women Mid-Cities Christmas edition, filled with games, matching bracelets, and raffle baskets. We love the encouragement and community this group brings.
We wrapped up the month by hosting a cookie bar at the Discovery Village Alliance happy hour. A sweet ending to a busy and joyful December.
December reminded us just how special community, connection, and care truly are. From celebrating the holidays with residents to collaborating with healthcare partners and supporting our team, each moment reflected the heart of Overture Home Care. We are incredibly grateful for the relationships we continue to build and the trust placed in us every day. As we close out the year, we look forward to continuing to serve, support, and show up for our communities in the year ahead!
