Out and About with Overture Home Care: February 2026
February was filled with meaningful connections, educational opportunities, and plenty of festive celebrations across DFW. Here is a look at where Overture Home Care has been out in the community this month.
Paige attended Coffee with the Southlake Seniors Network Core Leadership group. It was a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with fellow senior care professionals and discuss ways to better serve older adults and their families in Southlake and surrounding areas.
We were proud to co sponsor the Watermere Highlands Founders Lunch at Texas Live, with Vanessa joining on behalf of Overture Home Care. The event brought together community partners for great conversation, relationship building, and celebration of the Watermere Highlands community.
We attended the Smart Senior Series at the ACTIV Center in Arlington. This month’s theme, Be Prepared, Not Scared: Emergency Preparedness for Seniors, provided valuable education and practical tips to help seniors and their families feel confident and ready in case of emergencies.
Laci and Vanessa enjoyed the First Friday Breakfast at the Conservatory Keller. The presentation from Lauren Olson on “Tiny Changes, Remarkable Habits” was insightful, and Vanessa even went home with a fun door prize!
We co sponsored Sweets and Shirley Temples at The Vantage Happy Hour. It was a festive afternoon filled with Valentine themed treats and sweet moments shared with residents and staff.
Our newest Dallas community liaison, Amy Preston, attended a networking event at Coralvita Hospital of Richardson. She had the opportunity to connect with healthcare professionals and share how Overture Home Care supports patients transitioning safely back home.
We attended this month’s Continuity of Care gathering, where everyone dressed in their Valentine’s Day best! It was a fun and festive way to strengthen partnerships while celebrating the month of love!
Vanessa met with the Wilshire team to continue building strong professional relationships and discuss ways to collaborate in supporting shared clients.
We served Valentine themed drinks and handed out chocolate boxes at the Queen of Hearts Happy Hour at Watermere Preserve. It was a joy to celebrate with residents and add a little extra sweetness to their day!
We also celebrated Valentines Day with the residents at Discovery Village Alliance. Laci and Vanessa handed out Valentine inspired drinks, chocolate boxes, and plenty of sweets while enjoying time with residents and staff!
Mardi Gras was in full swing as we co sponsored the Beignet Bus at The Vantage. Residents enjoyed festive treats and a taste of New Orleans right in their own community.
We attended the Tarrant Area Gerontological Society (TAGS) Quarterly Continuing Education Luncheon at Lena Pope Amon Carter Center. Vanessa serves as Programs Chair and Paige serves as Social Work Chair for TAGS. Many Overture nurses and community liaisons attended, and we were proud to support the event as one of the lunch sponsors!
Laci served drinks and handed out fans at the Heartis Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration. Guests enjoyed lively festivities, including impressive karate demonstrations as part of the entertainment!
We attended Boots and Bling, the Parker County Health Foundation Gala. It was an exciting evening, especially as our owner Rob bid on and welcomed his new puppy, London, to the Overture family!
We hosted four Dementia Live® sessions at AVIR North Richland Hills. Nancy with Valor Hospice brought goodies for participants and jumped in to help after experiencing the simulation herself. Brooke with Advanced Home Health also participated and stayed to assist. These sessions continue to provide powerful insight into the dementia journey.
Laci and Amanda Schmidt from Baylor Rehab attended the monthly physicians meeting at Baylor Grapevine Hospital. They enjoyed connecting with physicians and sharing how home care can help prevent unnecessary hospitalizations and support safer recoveries at home.
We are incredibly honored that Overture Home Care was named Business of the Year by the Parker County Chamber of Commerce. This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire team and our commitment to serving families with excellence.
Amy G. and Amy P. attended the annual Dementia Friendly Dallas community meeting. It was inspiring to see so many organizations united in the mission to create a more supportive and informed community for individuals living with dementia.
Laci attended a networking event at Solstice Senior Living Grapevine. She had a wonderful time connecting with local professionals and strengthening relationships within the senior living community.
Laci also attended Trending Women Mid Cities at Heartis. It was a fantastic event filled with empowering connections, and Patricia from Heartis was the lucky winner of our door prize.
February was full of growth, gratitude, and great community partnerships. We are thankful for every opportunity to connect, educate, and serve.
