Out and About with Overture Home Care: July 2025
July was a busy and fulfilling month for the Overture Home Care team! We stayed active in the community, celebrated with friends and partners, and continued growing both professionally and personally. Here’s a look at where we’ve been this month:
We began the month by joining Heartis at their Friends and Family Night to help prepare donation bags for Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County. It was a meaningful way to kick off July in service to others.
We enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at The Art Walk at Trinity Terrace, where residents opened their homes to showcase art from around the world. Many of the featured artists were residents themselves, making it a truly inspiring and personal experience.
We celebrated Fourth of July with our friends at Baybrook Rehab in McKinney—a festive gathering filled with smiles, community, and patriotic spirit.
We also supported the Watermere Preserve’s 4th of July Cookout Celebration by sponsoring two themed baskets. Nothing better than good food, great company, and celebrating freedom together.
This month, we welcomed Parker Helms, our new Intake Coordinator, to the Overture team! Parker spent time training with Ashley and Paige and is already jumping in with enthusiasm.
Mike connected with fellow professionals at the Grace and Go Networking Event at HarborChase Plano, a great opportunity to share ideas and build new relationships.
Wanda and Amy attended a thoughtful presentation at the Collin County Vietnam Veterans of America (CCVVA) McKinney. They had the privilege of hearing from speaker, community leader, and Veteran Rick Grady - an inspiring voice for service and community.
We attended the Senior Service Alliance meeting at the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, where we connected with other senior-focused professionals in the area. Dr. David Crumpacker gave an insightful presentation on Understanding Geriatric Mental Health, offering valuable perspectives on supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of older adults.
Over lunch at Watermere Highlands, we joined in on the Founders Celebration—a warm and welcoming event honoring the beginnings of a strong community.
Vanessa represented Overture at the Second Wednesday Schmooze, networking and collaborating with others caring for older adults.
We had a blast at the TAGS Annual Summer Forum. This year’s theme was Book Club: Library of Knowledge. Our booth featured “Blind Date with a Book,” where visitors picked out a wrapped mystery book using only a few clues. It was a hit! It was so fun having our nursing team, operations team and sales team all in attendance!
We joined the NPRA meeting at Pioneer Ridge McKinney, engaging in conversations about professional growth and community impact and even joined the NPRA organization as a team!
Over at Watermere in Frisco, we gathered with peers at the Breakfast Club—a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with fellow professionals over coffee and conversation.
Residents of Overture Senior Living Frisco put their knowledge to the test during a lively Music Trivia afternoon. Wanda had a great time getting gift bags ready! The residents had a blast!
We celebrated one year with Nurse Kara, who care for clients at Stevenson Oaks and helps with assessments throughout the metroplex— she is an incredible team member who continues to make a big impact with her care and heart.
At Del Webb Union Park, we played Music Bingo with residents and provided goody bags for the winners—a fun and engaging way to bring joy and connection through music.
In partnership with The Vantage, we collected school supplies to help local students gear up for back-to-school season. Giving back to young learners is something we love to support!
We officially moved into our new Tarrant County office off South Hulen Street this month! To introduce ourselves, we hosted a building blitz to meet our neighbors in the new six-story space. We’re excited for this new chapter!
Our team hosted Dementia Live® training for the staff at Iris Memory Care Turtle Creek—an immersive and impactful experience to help deepen understanding of those living with dementia.
We also brought Dementia Live® demonstrations to residents at Del Webb Frisco Lakes, Alexis Allen, and Country Lane in McKinney. We love educating our partners about dementia.
Overture provides a lunch and learn quarterly with UNT Health Science Center. This quarter, Alex enjoyed a lunch and great educational session with the staff and providers at the center for older adults along with other community partners, building connections and letting them know about Overture Home Care and our services.
Trinity Terrace hosted a festive Christmas in July event, which also included a school supply drive to benefit local students.
Overture sponsored a professional networking event to benefit Golden Grace Assisted Living, held in conjunction with the Community Garden in McKinney—a meaningful gathering for a great cause.
We wrapped up the month with a fantastic turnout at the Celina Senior Center, where over 60 attendees joined us to learn more about Overture Home Care while enjoying a tamale lunch we sponsored.
As always, our mission at Overture Home Care is rooted in connection—whether it’s through supporting local events, educating communities, or spending quality time with the seniors we serve. July was a month full of joyful moments, meaningful conversations, and continued growth. We’re proud of our team, grateful for our partners, and excited for all that’s ahead.
Stay tuned for more updates as we head into August—and thank you for being part of the Overture family!
