Summer has been full of opportunities to connect with our community, support healthcare partners, and spend time with the older adults and families we are privileged to serve. From educational presentations and networking events to holiday celebrations and wellness programs, July was a month filled with meaningful moments. Securing Our Seniors Safety Presentation
Theresa, Jamie, and Paige attended a presentation for police captains from across Texas led by Shannon Gleason Dion of Securing Our Seniors Safety in Fort Worth. The presentation highlighted valuable strategies for protecting older adults and strengthening community partnerships.
Methodist Richardson Case Management Vendor Fair
Theresa enjoyed connecting with case managers at the Methodist Richardson Case Management Vendor Fair. She shared information about Overture Home Care, answered questions about our services while building relationships with healthcare professionals.
Fourth of July Happy Hour at Watermere Highlands
We celebrated Independence Day with the residents at Watermere Highlands by serving festive Firecracker Punch, fresh fruit cups, and pretzel cones during their Fourth of July Happy Hour!
Bottle Pops & Prosecco at Wilshire
We helped make Wilshire's Fourth of July Happy Hour extra festive by hosting a Bottle Pops & Prosecco celebration complete with sweet and salty snacks!
World Chocolate Day at Heartis
World Chocolate Day was extra sweet at Heartis! Residents sampled a variety of specialty chocolate beverages while tasting different chocolates, making for a fun and delicious celebration.
Hydration Station at Methodist Mansfield Hospital
We partnered to host a Hydration Station for the dedicated staff at Methodist Mansfield Hospital. It was our way of encouraging healthcare professionals to stay refreshed and hydrated while caring for others!
Smart Senior Series
Our July Smart Senior Series featured Overture Home Care's Senior Vice President, Paige, as a panelist. She shared valuable insights on caregiver support and resources available to help older adults and their families navigate the aging journey.
Veteran Breakfast at Clear Fork Assisted Living & Memory Care Willow Park
We were honored to co-host a Veteran Breakfast with Journey Hospice at Clear Fork Assisted Living & Memory Care Willow Park. It was a meaningful morning recognizing and celebrating those who have served our country!
TAGS Summer Forum 2026
Our team had a fantastic time sponsoring and attending the TAGS Summer Forum 2026. This year's Game Night theme made the event especially fun, while inspiring speakers, award recipients, and networking with fellow professionals made for an outstanding day. Eight of our nurses were able to attend for CE’s along with both of our Area Administrators and many of our community liaison team members.
Women's Business Alliance Happy Hour
Ashley and Kenna enjoyed attending the Women's Business Alliance event hosted by the Parker County Chamber of Commerce. The evening included networking, happy hour at King's Gate, and Music Bingo at The District in Willow Park!
Silver Scene Opening Day
We were excited to help celebrate the opening of Silver Scene, a new 55+ group for active adults in Weatherford. Overture Home Care provided an entrée for the brunch, and we look forward to supporting this wonderful group as they gather every Friday!
Heartis Hawaiian Party
Vanessa and Laci joined both the independent living and assisted living residents at Heartis for their Hawaiian Party. Guests enjoyed festive Pink Flamingo drinks and a fun afternoon filled with island-inspired celebrations!
Ice Cream Social at Watermere Highlands
Nothing says summer like ice cream! We hosted an Ice Cream Social at Watermere Highlands where residents enjoyed building their favorite ice cream creations with a variety of delicious toppings!
Back to School Drive
Rob and Alex represented Overture Home Care at the Parker County Children's Advocacy Center's Back to School Drive. We were grateful to support local students and families as they prepared for a successful school year!
Friendship Hour at Harvest of Aledo
Ashley partnered with Journey Hospice to host our monthly Friendship Hour at Harvest of Aledo. Residents enjoyed creating custom dirty sodas while spending time together and making new memories.
Medical City McKinney Case Management Lunch
Theresa co-sponsored lunch for the Medical City McKinney Case Management Department alongside Amerita Infusion and Kindred Hospital. The event provided an opportunity to discuss Overture Home Care's services and when home care can benefit patients after discharge.
Painting Bluebonnets at Keller Senior Activities Center
We had a wonderful time sponsoring the quarterly painting class at the Keller Senior Activities Center alongside Texas Rehab of Keller and Keller Oaks Healthcare Center. Participants painted beautiful Texas bluebonnets while enjoying fellowship and creativity.
Mixology Event at Stevenson Oaks
Together with Journey Hospice and Reliant at Home, we sponsored a mixology event at Stevenson Oaks. Guests had fun crafting refreshing Peach Bourbon Smash mocktails while enjoying an afternoon of laughter and conversation.
Dementia Live® at MENSA Annual Gathering 2026
We were honored to present Dementia Live® at the MENSA Annual Gathering 2026 in Fort Worth, alongside Pam Brandon, founder of Age-U-Cate, Gail Snider, Executive Director of Dementia Friendly Fort Worth, and Rob Mart, Dementia Friendly Fort Worth volunteer and Dementia Live® coach. Together, we shared valuable insights to help attendees better understand the dementia experience and the importance of compassionate, person-centered care.
As we look ahead to August, we are grateful for every opportunity to educate, collaborate, and build relationships throughout our communities. Thank you to our clients, caregivers, referral partners, and community friends for allowing us to be part of so many special moments. We look forward to continuing to serve, support, and make a difference together. We can't wait to share more of our adventures with you next month!
