Out and About with Overture Home Care: June 2026
June was filled with meaningful connections, community partnerships, and opportunities to support older adults and their families throughout the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. From celebrating caregivers and educating future healthcare professionals to hosting happy hours and raising awareness for dementia, we are grateful to everyone who welcomed Overture Home Care into their communities.
Monthly Blood Pressure Clinic at Watermere at the Preserve
Ashley and Laci enjoyed another monthly blood pressure clinic with the residents at Watermere at the Preserve in North Richland Hills. These visits are a wonderful opportunity to promote wellness, answer questions, and connect with residents in a meaningful way.
Denim for Dementia
Ashley, Alex, Laci, and Paige proudly wore their denim in support of Dementia Friendly Fort Worth during Denim for Dementia. This initiative helps raise awareness and funds to create a more dementia friendly community through education, resources, and support for individuals living with dementia and their care partners. Overture equally matched all our staff’s $5 Fridays donations and staff and Overture donated $1000 for Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month to Dementia Friendly Fort Worth.
Backyard BBQ Bash at Watermere Highlands
Nothing says summer quite like a backyard barbecue! We had a great time joining the residents at Watermere Highlands for a fun afternoon filled with delicious food, laughter, and community.
Blood Pressure Checks at the Aledo Senior Center
We kicked off our new monthly blood pressure clinic at the Aledo Senior Center with breakfast and wellness checks. We look forward to returning every second Monday of the month to help support the health and well being of local seniors. Our Nurse Manager Meredith and Community Liaison, Ashley do a fabulous job introducing Overture to Parker county!
Summer Snack Bar for CNA Week
To celebrate CNA Week, we hosted a Summer Snack Bar for the incredible team at Holland Lake Rehabilitation and Wellness in Weatherford. Thank you to all of the CNAs for your compassion, dedication, and the exceptional care you provide every day!
Trending Women Southwest
Vanessa and Laci attended Trending Women (the organization that empowers women in business) at Southwest at Centre for Neuro Skills, where they enjoyed networking and letting their creativity shine while making colorful wind catchers with fellow attendees.
Another Friday of Denim for Dementia
Another Friday meant another opportunity to wear denim for a great cause. We were proud to continue supporting Dementia Friendly Fort Worth and helping raise awareness and funds for dementia education and resources. Employees donate $5 to wear denim on Fridays in June and Overture matches the donation!
Professional Head Shot Event
We partnered with Journey Hospice, Senior Living Specialists, and ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Weatherford to host another successful professional head shot event. It was great connecting with so many healthcare professionals while helping them update their professional photos.
"Nacho" Average CNA Lunch
Katie from AVIR Emerald Hills joined us for a "Nacho" Average CNA Lunch at StoneCreek, where caregivers enjoyed creating their own loaded nachos. It was a fun way to recognize and celebrate the amazing CNAs during CNA Week.
ABLAZE 2026
Our team was excited to attend ABLAZE 2026 alongside many of our valued referral partners. This annual event provided opportunities to strengthen relationships, learn from industry leaders, and continue working together to better serve older adults across our communities.
June Birthday Celebration at Legacy Oaks of Azle
We celebrated the June birthdays with the Independent Living residents at Legacy Oaks of Azle. The birthday boxes from Overture Home Care continue to be a favorite tradition and help make each celebration extra special.
Stayton CNA Week Celebration
The hardworking CNAs at Stayton Skilled Nursing were treated to sweet treats during CNA Week as a small token of appreciation for everything they do for their residents each and every day. Our partnership with The Stayton is long standing and very special to Overture.
Hotrods and Hotdogs at Truewood
Laci volunteered her photography skills during Truewood's Hotrods and Hotdogs event, where Valor Hospice served up delicious grilled favorites. It was a wonderful community event filled with classic cars, great food, and smiling faces.
Summer Fun at Discovery Village Alliance
Vanessa enjoyed a little summertime fun with residents at Discovery Village Alliance while serving refreshing pineapple rum punch and spending quality time together.
Father's Day Celebrations
We were honored to celebrate Father's Day with so many wonderful fathers throughout our communities. From root beer floats at The Vantage, to lunch and activities at West Fork Assisted Living and Memory Care in Weatherford, to thoughtful Father's Day gifts at Heartis, we enjoyed recognizing the incredible men who have made such an impact on their families.
Business Builders Presentation
Ashley and Kenna had the opportunity to present at Business Builders through the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce, sharing more about Overture Home Care and the services we provide to support older adults and their families.
Trinity Terrace Blood Pressure Clinic and Falls Risk Assessment
Our team partnered with our clinical liaison, Dr. Kate Taylor, UNT Health and clinical consultant for Overture Home care along with medical students at Trinity Terrace to provide blood pressure screenings and evidence based falls risk assessments. It was a wonderful opportunity to promote healthy aging while supporting the education of future healthcare professionals. The Residents appreciated the assessments and interaction with the students!
Women's Business Alliance
Ashley attended the Women's Business Alliance meeting with the Parker County Chamber of Commerce, enjoying meaningful conversations, networking, and connecting with other women making a difference throughout the community.
Health Fair at The Preserve at Spring Creek
Denise and Paige had a booth in the health fair at The Preserve at Spring Creek, where they shared wooden brain teaser games and talked with attendees about the importance of keeping the brain active and healthy! All in recognition of Brain awareness month.
Dementia Live® at Brookdale Eden Estates
Alex and Laci facilitated Dementia Live® at Brookdale Eden Estates, giving participants a powerful glimpse into the daily experiences of someone living with dementia. Experiences like these help build empathy, understanding, and more compassionate care.
Back to School Drive
Theresa, our Dallas Area Administrator, proudly represented Overture Home Care as a sponsor of the Legacy Oaks of Midlothian Back to School Drive. We are grateful for opportunities to support local students and families while giving back to our communities.
Clear Fork Assisted Living Market
Ashley attended the Clear Fork Assisted Living and Memory Care Market benefiting the Alzheimer's Association. We were honored to support an event dedicated to raising awareness and funding for Alzheimer's research and care.
June Birthday Celebration at Juliette Fowler
Theresa celebrated the June birthdays with residents at Juliette Fowler by sponsoring the monthly birthday party. Every birthday guest received one of Overture Home Care's signature birthday boxes, helping make the celebration even more memorable.
Watermere at the Preserve Town Hall
We appreciated the opportunity to speak with residents during the Town Hall at Watermere at the Preserve about the services Overture Home Care provides. Afterward, everyone enjoyed patriotic blue refreshments and cupcakes during a festive happy hour. Shout out to The Executive Director, Will who invited us to be partners.
Dementia Live® at Juliette Fowler
Denise, Theresa, and Paige led another impactful Dementia Live® experience for the Juliette Fowler community, helping family members of Residents better understand the challenges faced by individuals living with dementia.
Welcoming New Caregivers
We were excited to welcome two new very experienced caregivers during our Dallas onboarding. As part of their orientation, each caregiver participated in Dementia Live, helping ensure they begin their Overture journey with a deeper understanding of compassionate, person centered dementia care.
