Out and About with Overture Home Care: October 2025
October was a busy and exciting month for the Overture Home Care team! Our staff was out in the community connecting with partners, attending events, and sharing resources to support seniors and their families. From educational presentations to fun fall festivities, we loved every opportunity to engage with others who share our commitment to compassionate, quality care.
We started the month with Paige speaking to the class of Long-Term Care Administrators for Dr. Regina Franklin at Tarrant County College about social services. It was a special moment for them both, as Paige and Dr. Franklin worked together over 20 years ago and have remained in touch ever since.
Ashley and Kenna attended the Parker County Chamber Go West Community Showcase at Walsh Ranch in Aledo. The theme, “Planting Roots in Parker County,” brought together businesses and community members for an inspiring day of connection.
Vanessa attended the Tarrant Area Gerontological Society Scholarship Mixer at Flips Patio Grill. The event featured networking, raffle prizes, delicious food and drinks, and even a take-home CEU for attendees.
Ashley went to the Boos and Brushes Networking Event at Legacy Oaks of Azle, where guests enjoyed painting festive pumpkins while connecting with other professionals in our field.
Alex, Jeromy, and Anjalique attended Continuity of Care, a professional network across DFW dedicated to ensuring seamless care transitions for senior adults. It’s always great to connect with other professionals passionate about quality senior care.
Alex, Stephanie, and Anjalique represented Overture Home Care at the Trinity Terrace Wellness Expo. They shared helpful resources, passed out flyers, and gave away fun fall-themed prizes!
Paige spoke on the panel for this month’s Smart Senior Series. The topic, “Embracing Change: What’s Your Backup Plan?” featured our friends from Reliant at Home, Stevenson Oaks, and Senior Downsizing Experts, Ingrid Sullivan for an engaging and thoughtful discussion.
Next, we attended the Trending Women event at Stevenson Oaks that featured guest speaker Diane Roberts, who shared her courageous story of surviving breast cancer twice and the importance of being proactive about health.
The Stayton hosted a wonderful presentation from a dear friend of Mr. Rogers, who shared heartfelt stories about their friendship and the power of authenticity and kindness in relationships.
Amy and Alex hosted an interactive Dementia Live® experience for Paradigm Home Health, helping participants gain empathy and understanding for those living with dementia.
Kenna and Ashley joined in on the fun at the Harvest of Aledo Community Tailgate, connecting with the community and enjoying the festivities.
Mike attended the Happy Hour at Sunrise of Plano Independent Living, featuring entertainer Marty Ruiz and Ellis Paddock from Sunrise!
Amy and Alex represented Overture at the Civitas Annual Conference. With a circus theme, the event was full of laughter, cotton candy, and popcorn! What a treat to be invited as a partner each year.
Anjalique and Alex attended The Stayton’s 14th Anniversary Party, celebrating another year of community with great food and live entertainment.
Overture sponsored a Breakfast Happy Hour at The Preserve at Willow Park alongside Journey Hospice. Ashley attended and helped make it a cheerful start to everyone’s day!
We hosted a Dementia Live® experience at First Baptist Church of Keller’s Caregiving Conference, offering valuable insight and understanding to attendees caring for loved ones with dementia.
Amy set up festive Apple Bars at Discovery Village Castle Hills in honor of National Apple Day—complete with toppings for everyone to create their own sweet treat.
We had a booth at the Dallas Area Gerontological Society Fall Forum featuring “Make Your Own Tea Bags.” Visitors got to choose their tea base and customize their blends for their individual wellness needs! The Dallas team enjoyed getting to network with attendees and vendors at this annual DAGS educational symposium.
Ashley attended Hot Cakes and Head Shots at Hilltop Rehab in Weatherford—a fun and uplifting networking breakfast.
Alex co-hosted Fall Flower Arranging at Texas Rehab, an event Overture helped co-host, where participants created beautiful floral arrangements to welcome the season.
Ashley, Kenna, and Alex attended the Aledo Advocats Luncheon. The Advocats’ mission to support children and families in Aledo ISD was truly inspiring.
Ashley connected with other professionals at the Growing Connections event at Legacy Oaks of Azle, celebrating collaboration and partnership.
We hosted Root Beer Floats at ClearFork Memory Care in Willow Park with Journey Hospice. Residents enjoyed sweet treats and smiles all around!
Overture joined the “Frontier Advantage Network” of providers with The Preserve at Spring Creek in Garland—an exciting new partnership focused on quality care and collaboration.
Ashley represented Overture at the Parker County Chamber Battle of the Businesses at Film Alley in Weatherford, where we proudly sponsored a bowling lane for some friendly competition.
We attended the Say Boo to Alzheimer’s fundraiser, an incredible event full of community spirit and amazing raffle baskets, all supporting Alzheimer’s awareness.
Vanessa represented Overture at the Grapevine Medical Lodge Fall Festival, passing out flyers, popcorn, and fall cookies to residents and visitors.
Alex, Laura, Stephanie, and Cherae hosted the weekly Trinity Terrace Blood Pressure Clinic. Nurses Laura and Cherae performed blood pressure checks while Alex and Stephanie served breakfast—it was a wonderful morning of wellness.
Paige participated in a Lunch and Learn for staff, students, and faculty at the University of Texas at Arlington. The panel presentation, “Navigating the Aging Roadmap,” featured experts from Brookdale, Baylor Scott & White Rehab Hospital Dallas, and Reliant Hospice.
Alex and Vanessa attended the UNTHSC SAGE Jamboree. This incredible program connects healthcare students from UNT Health and TCU with senior mentors for hands-on learning in geriatric care. It was our fourth year co-hosting this event with our partners.
We joined Journey Hospice at the Harvest Festival at WestFork in Weatherford, celebrating fall with the community.
And finally, we wrapped up the month at the Harvest Stroll at Trinity Terrace, where residents collected stickers and treats at each stop. Those who completed the stroll were entered into a prize drawing, and Overture handed out Hershey bars at our stop at our Nursing Office!
October was a month full of meaningful connections, community events, and celebrations across DFW, with a special focus on Parker County and getting to know that community better in preparation for our new office in Weatherford! From educational panels and wellness fairs to creative networking and festive fall gatherings, our team loved every opportunity to engage with partners, residents, and professionals who share our passion for exceptional senior care. We’re so grateful for the relationships we continue to build and look forward to another month of making a difference together. #OvertureHomeCare
